Beautiful Fall Is All Around. Unfortunately lots of construction and traffic noise on the Loud City Deciduous Tree Scenes; a nice juxtaposition, don't you think, to the quite, serene scenes with the Evergreen Trees in Lynn Valley Park.

Hope everyone enjoyed Turkey yesterday [Thanksgiving Day] and is looking forward to Halloween. The children of Lynn Valley Elementary, and their pre-school are having a "Pumpkin Patch" on October 13, 2018.

For Christmas this year, I'll again be one of Santa Hank's little silent elves.

Santa delivered gifts to the homeless on the North Shore of Vancouver. This surprise visit helped to 5bring the Christmas spirit to a place where lonely hearts can feel loved and remembered.

The North Shore Homelessness Task Force published a report this fall finding 736 unique individuals registered for services reserved for the homeless on the North Shore over the course of 2016. They are living rough. The study also found another 295 individuals who were at imminent risk homelessness.

Those folks love getting those $5 value Gift Cards for Tim Hortons [27^th and Mountain Highway]. So, I give Santa Hank a bunch of those; 20 x $5 = $100, more than once a year. It may mean little to us, but it means a lot to everyone receiving one. Santa Hank delivers these and many, many other things throughout the community, all year long.
